Op-Ed for the Forum of Fargo-Moorhead:
This election season has focused on one central theme: jobs. This is deservedly so, as our state and our nation are currently in the midst of the deepest, longest-lasting recession since the Great Depression. As Minnesotans, we can be thankful that we have not suffered unemployment to the extent that other states have. However, Tuesday’s election presents a clear and distinct choice in how we move forward and grow our way to a more successful Minnesota.
My husband, Keith Schwartzwald, and I recently had the opportunity to host one of the candidates vying to be part of the leadership team that will shape the direction of Minnesota, Republican lieutenant governor candidate Annette Meeks. Tom Emmer and Meeks have spent the past six months campaigning together on a call to improve Minnesota’s business climate to make our state more attractive for job growth and expansion.
