Team Emmer is out in force this week with more visits to local businesses talking about jobs and the economy in central and southern Minnesota. Tom will also be in Elk River tomorrow for a Veterans Town Hall Forum. We encourage all veterans to attend.

One thing that separates us from the other campaigns is our genuine willingness to listen. At all levels, government is drifting further and further away from the everyday lives of its citizens. Tom Emmer and Annette Meeks will change that.

Emmer Announces Veterans Town Hall Forum

While we can never repay the sacrifice veterans have made for our country, we should do what we can for those who volunteer to put themselves in harm’s way for our freedom.

Veterans make a valuable contribution to every community in which they live. They start businesses, raise families and volunteer. With the absence of a major military base in Minnesota, we must work harder than other states to convince retired veterans to live here.

We should also recognize how important this “pre-trained” workforce is to our economy by making sure all returning veterans have access to good jobs.
