Yesterday Jacquie and I hosted our friends and family in a true Minnesota tradition – a graduation party for our son Jack, who graduated this year from Delano High School. Sometimes it’s easy to forget why we’re running for governor but these gatherings remind us what’s important in life – family and friends.
I’m also running to change the culture of our political system, so Minnesota government once again works for our families, not the special interests and lobbyists.
Tom Emmer explains why he’s running for governor.
With this year’s early primary, it seems the political ads are hitting the airwaves sooner than ever. Our opponents must think the best way for them to win the primary is to attack us in their ads. One ad from the Alliance for a Better Minnesota (a liberal DFL front group funded by the unions) received an “F” grade from KSTP because it was so full of lies.
Two other liberal special interest groups have been raising big money to attack us and our message.Unbelievably, one of them is being funded by family members of Mark Dayton.
We need your financial help now to keep the playing field level in this election. Unlike my opponents, I don’t have personal wealth or union bosses to call on to fund my campaign. I need you!
Please consider making a contribution of $25, $50, $100 or even $250 today. This is the last day of the current reporting period and we need to report the largest number possible to keep the momentum on our side.
We can’t let them win.
Please make a donation to our campaign today so we can match the Democrats and their liberal special interest groups dollar for dollar on television.
Thank you,
Tom Emmer
P.S. Your contribution today of $25, $50, $100 or even $250 will give us the momentum we need to keep up with our well-funded opponents and their liberal friends.
